The 7th Annual Colorado Conference on Volunteerism (COCOVO) is being hosted in 2008 by the Western Slope DOVIA (Directors of Volunteers in Agencies) organization. The conference will be held April 22-24, 2008, at [Two Rivers Convention Center Map] in Grand Junction, Colorado. We are pleased to have the opportunity to present this state-wide conference here on the Western Slope of Colorado. The last time COCOVO was held in Grand Junction was in 2002.
The COCOVO is hosted in Colorado by the various DOVIA organizations around the state. The purpose of the conference is to create new contacts, take advantage of new ideas and to share talents and expertise around the subject of volunteerism and community service.

Western Slope DOVIA is holding a Silent Auction during the conference to raise funds for Training and Scholarships for our local DOVIA organization. Auction items will be on display Tuesday, April 22 and Wednesday, April 23, 2008.
The conference is held in a different region of Colorado each year to allow for variety and to make it possible for people that work with volunteers from all parts of the state to attend. The most recent locations for the conferences have been Fort Collins (2005), Denver (2006), Colorado Springs (2007) and now Grand Junction in 2008. Grand Junction is wine country! Grand Junction Visitor and Convention Center website tells you about all of our local sites and attractions, including all of the local wineries. Join us for our Wednesday, April 23, 2008, evening "Vino in the Valley" reception and sample local Grand Junction wines and hear the sounds of Flat Top Reed.
